From Classic and Wood to Tournament Black and pure OLED dark — readable at arm's length in any light.
Game history & stats
Moves played, time used and average seconds per move for both players, saved automatically after every game.
Made for the table
Each half rotates independently so both players read their own time right-side up. Landscape and portrait supported.
Private by design
No ads, no account, no tracking. Everything stays on your device, and the clock works with airplane mode on.
Presets for how you actually play
The most popular over-the-board time controls are one tap away — and every one of them can be customized.
A clock that looks the part
16 hand-tuned color themes, each with a light and dark variant. High-contrast digits, tabular numerals, zero clutter.
No ads. No tracking. No nonsense.
Your games, settings and statistics never leave your device. There is no account to create, nothing to sync, and the app is fully functional in airplane mode — exactly what you want at the board.
Frequently asked questions
Is the chess clock app free?
Yes. The core clock with the most popular time controls — Blitz 3+0 and 5+0, Rapid 10+0 and 15+10, Bullet 1+0, Classical 60+0 and the hourglass mode — is completely free, with no ads. A one-time Pro upgrade unlocks every tournament preset, all increment modes and extra themes.
Can two people play on one phone?
Yes — that is exactly what the app is for. Lay the phone flat between you: the screen is split into two halves, one rotated 180°, so each player sees their own time right-side up and taps their own side after moving.
Does it support Fischer increment and Bronstein delay?
Yes. The app supports Fischer increment (added before or after your move), Bronstein delay and simple US delay, plus multi-phase tournament controls such as 40 moves in 90 minutes followed by 30 minutes with a 30-second increment.
Does it work offline?
Completely. The clock never needs an internet connection, and turning on airplane mode is even recommended so calls and notifications can't interrupt your game.
Can I use it for Go, Shogi or Scrabble?
Yes. Byo-Yomi periods make it a proper Go and Shogi timer, and the custom controls work for Scrabble, backgammon or any two-player board game.
